Hermann’s newest bar is Jillsie’s ‘The Office’ on Schiller Street. The bar is actually still in a “soft opening” stage, according to owner Jill Steckelberg, but a grand opening weekend will be coming up soon. I was there on Saturday night, June 20th, and that was only the second night The Office has been open. The place was busy and full of people, so it seems like it’s off to a good start. Live music by The Bufftones filled the bar with energy, and the drinks were good. There’s weekly drink specials, too – Jill picks a Shot of the Week that’s just $1.50 and a Drink of the Week that’s $3.00.
